Skip Tracing

Skip Tracing is the art of investigating and recovering location information about debtors who no longer live or work at a known residence. All of our Account Managers are trained in the art of Skip Tracing — we do this not only to uncover information on debtors' whereabouts, but to also locate assets that will pay for their delinquent debt.

Our Skip Tracing resources include:

  • Select Phone: A national database of over 3000 directories and 95 million listings.
  • Internal office files: Many debtors have more than one delinquent account. All new accounts are cross-referenced with existing accounts to verify that we have the most accurate information. Because we serve a large number of clients across all industries, we are able to access information from multiple open accounts.
  • E-info Data: A variety of statistics and national databases including, but not limited to:
    • case filings (court documents)
    • vehicle registration (boat, aircraft, and motor)
    • voter registration
    • SSN index
    • licenses (vehicle, pilot, hunting, fishing, business and professional).
  • Equifax: Credit reporting service
